The Mast Family Christmas Update

Merry Christmas One and All!!! This year has been an excited one for all of us... firsts and fun...

Hubby: So the coffee roasting is still one of the things that he enjoys doing. I think he enjoys it more for me than for himself. But the coffee is sooooo yummy good! Hubby also has had soccer on the brain again throughout this year. He loves to play soccer and it is the highlight of his week and lately he has had the chance to not only play once but twice in one week! But I would have to say the one major thing that happen to Hubby this year is that he is now a Hall of Famer!!! Yep my soccer loving gringo goalie is now in our alma matters athletic hall of fame. For more of an update on that one just check out the blog titled.... "Hall of Fame" just below this one. It has all the details!

Me: I have been on this journey this year that is still in progress. I don't know if it will ever be done completely but it has been a wonderful, frustrating and rewarding process. I would like to tell you all what the journey is but there is one more goal that I want to meet before I blog about it. However, if you are curious check out the blog titled, "Funnel cakes and finishing" It has just a bit of the journey I have been on, running. I have to say that running has taken a backburner since the race b/c of the holidays, weather and little ones being sick. Wish I could get back into running again. Another exciting thing for me is being part of Bubba's school. My dear friend and I are co-chairs to the PTO at TCP. I never thought in a million years that I would be part of a PTO. But the coolest update is the launch of the multisite campus of our church. Hubby and I and the kids made the switch and we are so happy to be part of something that is truly God inspired. Check out the link for our church if you want more details on the multisite www.gethope.net/hollysprings

Princess: We no longer can spell things out loud in our house. We have a reader and things are getting harder to hide or sneek past her b/c she can spell what we are saying and read what we are writing in our emails!! For the past month or so I have been asked more times about when the pool is opening. Our little princess likes to swim and loves to be at the pool in the summer. She continues to learn more about horses and loves to see them as we drive down the road. Her parents have yet to get her into more formal classes. That one is on the to do list for 2010. But I think her favorite thing of all this year has been her friends. She is very social and she enjoys playing with her neighbors, church friends and school friends.

Bubba or Big C: Big C has had an enjoyable year as well. He is growing and growing which can be evidenced by my always having to keep him fed. He gets rather crabby when he is hungry. Unlike his sister he isn't as fond of the pool as she is but he does enjoy playing a super hero when he is at the pool. But one thing we have learned thru this year with Big C is that when he is doing flips on the couch with no help and has good form we may just have to invest in some gymnastics classes. So this past fall we enrolled him in gymnastics. It is the highlight of his week. He may not be able to do flips at class but he is learning so many things that get those busy muscles moving! He is so tuckered out that he falls asleep in the car on the way home. The only time Big C isn't moving is when he sleeps.

Scooter or Lil C: Lil C has been full of firsts this year. Last Christmas update he had just learned to sit up on his own. He is at this moment throwing a plastic Christmas ball around the house and running after it! The best milestone was his scooting. He never really crawled but got around by scooting on his bottom. For a video of that check out the post, "We Have New Scooter " He is way to cute. He is learning new words and trying to keep up with this big sister and big brother. He may be little in size but sometimes he thinks he is just as big as his sister and brother.

The next year holds many new things for us I am sure. But the one constant that we can rely on year in and year out is Christ. He is the same yesterday, today and forever.( Hebrews 13:8) Christ pursues us and longs for a relationship with us. I pray that this year your relationship with your Pursuer is strengthened and grown and that you can see evidences of Him in your life all year.
